How to Style Collared Shirts

How to Style Collared Shirts

Want to know the easiest styling tip yet? Collared shirts are going to be your new favorite closet essential. So what are we all waiting for… Let’s go over how to style collared shirts!

This trend has taken over our Instagram feeds and we are all about it. Layering with a collared shirt can make any outfit look chic and put together. There are so many ways to layer with a simple white collared top, but we wanted to show you our favorites.

How to Style Collared Shirts

With a Vest

Yes, the sweater vest is making its way back from the past, but in a more stylish fashion. We all know the over-sized look has been taking over the fashion scene for quite some time now, and this look is no exception. You can pair an oversized sweater vest with a classic white collared shirt and a pleated skirt for a classy, yet trendy ensemble.

With a Dress

It always seems like a dress needs something a little extra, whether it's a sweater, jean jacket, or some statement jewelry. Well, now you have the newest and greatest pairing, a collared top, and any dress of your choice. What is so nice about a collared top vs. a sweater? You don't have to worry about colors clashing or the sweater making the outfit look frumpy!

As we see this collared trend making its way through the fashion scene, we have noticed the variety of collars making a come back as well. For instance, the long over-exaggerated collars of the ’70s are growing in popularity.

With a Button-Up Sweater

Fuzzy button-up sweaters in pastels and neutrals have been the "it" piece for winter/spring fashion. We usually opt to throw a sweater on as a last-minute choice but with this outfit, it's a different story! Who would have thought buttoning up a sweater with a collared top would look so tasteful?

With a Crew Neck

We all could live in a crew neck, and it may not seem like a "fashionable" outfit choice, but now it can be! To recreate the trendiest outfit yet, pair a vintage over-sized crew neck with a collared top and a patterned skirt.
