What to Wear: Summer Weddings

It’s officially June and wedding season is upon us! Now is the time where we get to dress up and celebrate friends or family members joining together and starting a new chapter in their lives. This is also the time when some people might get the style sweats of “oh no what do I wear!’’. Well have no fear, the Boutique Hub’s Style Team is here!

There are first a few rules to weddings that you may or may not know to help you from distracting from the bride or even drawing some unwanted attention. First, is the cardinal rule of weddings do not wear white, unless it’s an all white affair. Second, black is perfectly acceptable to wear to weddings, it used to be a huge no-no, but it is now considered fashionable. So the answer is YES you can wear a classy LBD (Little Black Dress) to a fun evening wedding. Third, be aware and respectful of the religious customs, example if the wedding will be held in a Catholic church you might want to bring a sweater or solid scarf to throw over your bare arms. Last but not least it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed. There is nothing worse than feeling out of place, because you then immediately start to lose confidence in what you’re wearing and it carries over into your mood. So this rule is always a plus to follow it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Below is some fun classy pieces to help not have those style sweats and still stay classy and sassy. There is a little something for everyone! First up something for those who might not be the dress wearing type, these jumpsuits are simply stunning and on top of being one of this season’s trending colors.

Cobalt Jumpsuit – $76

By adding some great accessories such as statement earrings and fun bracelets to this piece, you will be ready to style your way to a great evening.

Marley Floral Top- $35

This top could easily be paired with a pencil skirt, or a pair of red shorts or capris, depending on the wedding’s location and weather.

Now for the dresses…
