Katie graduated from Colombia College Chicago with a B.A. in Fashion/Retail Management in 2007. She launched K.E.Y. in a small space in August of 2010. After two years she was able to move the store into a larger space, the old First National Bank building. She loved the brick interior, tall ceilings, big windows, & the city-like feel. After 7 years in that location she decided she wanted more space and the old Metzler's Shoe Store building became available next door. After a year of remodeling they moved into the space at the end of 2018.
