Hello and welcome my name is Megan, I am the Owner and maker of The Unique Boutique. I want to take a moment and let you know why I got started in my business.

Why do I own a business? Why do I keep going? Why do I spend all of my free time working on tumblers, tees and all the other thing I make? Keep reading

In August 2018, I went on a mission trip to Haiti. From this trip, 2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we walk by faith, not by sight” was laid heavy on my heart. On our way home, we had a 7 hour layover in Fort Lauderdale. I decided to get a tattoo to represent the trip and this verse. On the side of my foot pointing forward (this is important) is an arrow with faith written inside. I did not know the impact this verse would have on my life at the time.

One year later in August 2019, I found glitter tumblers. I was seeing them in all of the Facebook craft groups and was drawn to them. I made them for friends, gifts and then sold some that others wanted for Christmas gifts, but it was just a hobby.

Fast forward to May of 2020, when I found the YLNI Farmers Market. I prayed and ask God if this was the right decision. I decided to go all in! I bit off a little more than I could chew by deciding to setup every other weekend, but I adapted. I drove to Warsaw, where I had the space to spray paint and glitter, as much as I could. I asked friends if I could use their backyards because I was living downtown Fort Wayne in an apartment, I made it work!

Now, I currently live in the basement of my parent’s house to save up money to buy a house. Thankfully they have more than enough space that I can spread out and get a lot more done! I have just started the Ashlee Fay Designs Academy to learn how to better my business and grow my faith. I want this to be my full time job one day!

Through all of the ups and downs God has always pointed me forward (I told you that was important) and pushed me to better myself and my business! I want to thank all of you for supporting me and being a part of my journey!❤️
